A tally of types by Stanley Morison has been added to the print library shelves.
A new addition to the print library arrived this morning from the Netherlands. This 5th revised edition of The printer's terms: technical terms of the printing industry by Rudolf Hostettler is a beautifully understated little book. Printed in five languages - German, English, French, Italian & Dutch, containing a tipped in card ruler marked out in Didot points, cicero, ems, inches & centimetres. A little gem.
The super 'A suite of fleurons or a preliminary enquiry into the history & combinable natures of certain printers' flowers conducted by John Ryder' arrived in the post this morning, features the lovely Granjon's Arabesque amongst others.
